Isreal, the Regathering

Ezekiel 36 is in a line of visions shown to him by God.  It tells us why the people of Isreal were scatter to all the nations of the world, because the followed after the gods of the other nations.

“So I scattered them among the nations, and they were dispersed throughout the countries; I judged them according to their ways and their deeds.”  Ezekiel 36:19

But the Lord also tells Ezekiel that He will bring them back into the land in the last days.

“For I will take you from among the nations, gather you out of all countries, and bring you into your own land.”  Ezekiel 36:24

All of this was prophesied before Jesus came and before the temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70AD and scattered the Jews.  Now after almost 2,000 years, the Jewish people are once again in there own land and living in Jerusalem, just as the Word of God has said.

Why would God do this?  His explains this as well.

“And I will sanctify My great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in their midst; and the nations shall know that I am the Lord.”  Ezekiel 36:23

This is so awesome, God makes prophesies and thousands of years later, it happens!  And He does it so you can know that He is real and that you can trust in His Word.
